The 338 Lapua Mag. is a "one of these days" project for me.

The military has decided to get 300 Win. Mag. sniper rifles and use Sierra 220 gr. MatchKings. So that cartridge will do the job, I just might want a little more left over energy out there with a 300 Ultra Mag for game myslef. The "TRG" isn't your average hunting rifle, so I'm not surprised at its performance at 1,000.

What bullet are you thinking of using for hunting at that distance? The 208 AMAX is getting a lot of attention too.
