Thanks Dan. I remember reading that explanation too and it makes sense on the lower tie down, but the upper tie down goes through the back and is quite long. That's probably what it's for, but then again, I thought I knew how to tie the wrist thong all these years until the Captain came along and showed us the Randall way.
