Culinary tip for Duke:
Once you sized peaches as you did...put in a deep basin...add 2 or 3 spoons of sugar...than cover everything with a "not so expansive" red wine...let it marinate for few hours in the fridge...serve it with some mint leaves or...fresh basil...
Best of the best is using...yellow peach "settembrine"....those mature now in September...

I called home with your "concoction" and my wife has it preped and chilling in the fridge as I type. She also thought that there could be no way to go wrong with this. Looks like a sweet desert tonight!

I do collect pocket knives too and I do know some "fruit tester" are around.... Unfortunately none are RMK...
