HEY CAP ... A question ...
Is it important to remove any wax, etc ... from the blade before putting it in pickle juice?
And what do you use to remove said wax? Paint thinner? Denatured alcohol? WD40?
Thanks,
Tony

I get the tap water in the kitchen sink as hot as it'll go (almost to hot to touch) and scrub the blade with liquid dish soap (not the automatic kind). Afterwards, I rinse in same hot tap water, dry it well and stick it in the pickel jar up to the hilt! If you get some pickel juice on the hilt it may turn a copper color. I just "Flitz" it, one time (for life) afterwards (the hilt I'm talkin' about)...Course: That's just the redneck way...Your mileage may vary!
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: After the good-'ol pickle-soakin', rinse the blade well...That's it!...CCS

No "in" Pat. I just simply order a lot of stag. That makes my chances of finding a piece ike this a little better. I "do" have an "in" at Randall...If you wanna know who to "pay"? Valerie! She's extremely professional at taking money!
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: Something "srainless" is headed your way, Pat...CCS

You forgot to tell them to eat all of the pickles first Cap. Also, which pickles do you prefer for the pickled Randall? Bread & Butter, Dill, Sweet or sugarless? Will pickled jalapano's work just as well? I see you used pickled olives, but will any pickled item do as well? Inquiring minds want to know.

As I said in the beginning of this "picklin' thing, I used juice from Spanish olives and pepperocinos. That jar was a mix. It really doesn't matter was my point. It'll all work, but when I pickled the Model #3 it was kosher dills!!

Ah Ha! Kosher dills!!! Somehow I knoew you were trying to trick us into using olives!!!! My wife accused me of buying more olives for my martini's and when I told her it was only to pickle my Randalls, she said I was the one that was pickled. Oh well, now I have to eat more kosher dills.
