I believe Chris was talking about a thread where "folks can go and get some form of tutorial as to "F-stop" settings, blade angle, photo-shop tricks of the trade. "ISO" settings and other various "helpful hints" to get more members (and non members) in the game" specifically to help folks take better knife images. I remember that thread. It was more about having a place to post photos mostly of things other than knives and very little technical information.

I started the following thread in mid-March, mainly to cover the technical aspects of photography: http://www.knifetalkforums.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=74629The creative part, well, comes from one's own creativity. I should also point out that I am more than willing to help anyone on the forum with regard to photography.

Dr. Lunde I’m sure it is just an oversight on you behalf, but given your recent objection to people claiming to have started a thread when it was not their original idea. Don’t you find it some what hypocritical to be claiming to have started a thread just after Tom has posted links to a thread predating yours?

Good question.
Given that the thread that was referenced was not a sticky, I was unaware of it, You were unaware of the thread that was referenced in Tom post, to which you just replied. I find that very hard to believe. Try again Oh and by the way I'm keeping screen captures. I would not like to see you embarrass yourself too much .

I meant that when I started that thread in mid-March, I was unaware of the one that was started a couple months before, for the reasons I explained. I simply pointed out a thread that I started, without any claim to originality. Unlike others, I don't claim threads as my own. Once posted, they are part of the community. Apparently, others feel differently.
In additional, a thread with 50+ pages of posts is far from ideal when it comes to garnishing photographic advice.
Oh, and good luck with the screen captures. That's why that functionality exists. I am not quite sure of what you think you're gaining by doing so, though.

Good question.
In terms of any claims to originality, I have none. I merely stated that I started that thread, and nothing more. The same could be said for the person whose thread you objected to. Double standards from a person who makes claims of high idealism doesn't look good.

Yet you were still prepared to claim you started the thread, immediately after you had been made aware of a previous thread. When by your own standards you should have acknowledged the idea was not original. This is not a very good standard for moderator on our forum
