OK Guys
January 2011 is almost over, let's get this going so the knife can be delivered in 2011 as I probably wont be here for the 200 year anniversary in 2111 smile

Peter,
As I told you on the phone, it's time to get going on this. Where should we start? (or "re-start") How about we try this:
"ROLL CALL" Vote for the Randall model and blade length you would like for us to build. We had initially voted (majority) for a "Combat Companion". Granted, the new models and time may change our minds...but let's take a vote...One vote per RKS member.
Thanks, Capt. Chris

I will stick with the Combat Companion, but now we have the choice of regular or full tang, decisions decisions.

My vote is for the new fighter 4-6 model with black micarta handle with finger grooves.

As you fellow RKS members know (or should...I've stated it enough times), I don't care what we build...."BUT" (I know...that word again)...If we are indeed thinking of making a knife that could possibly have a matching set of grips for a 45 to match, certain handle materials are definitely "out". Just something to think about for "down the road".
Thanks, Capt. Chris
PS: I like the diversity of suggestions for the 1911 knife. One theme rings true: "Fighter"!!...CCS
