This was just an opinion…and I remain with the same feeling about that particular shield, but I did add an "I think" to my post.

I am glad to see you contributing to the discussion.

I'm the man who got this knife. And as Tony said, I am happy as hell with it. It's absolutely gorgeous. Mr. Nugent, I don't give a damn about your opinion. And to add an "I think" to your post is just a cowardly approach. You can think a lot of things, but many times they are wrong.

Tony and Reese Bose make the finest pocketknives around. Their reputations and skills should never be questioned.

Thank you, Tony, for taking the time to make me this knife. It's beautiful in all respects and I will always cherish it.

Kevin

Wow…I am glad you like the knife…you are the customer. Use it in good health.

Sorry you don’t care about my opinion…I always think its good to be opened minded and hear what people have to say. In your world I guess it’s not good to question.

I was never questioning “Their reputations and skills”…but I do have preferences.

Don't get passive aggressive with me.
One minute you are driving home your point, and when you are called on it it's just your opinion.
If Tony Bose says that it's hand cut then it is indeed hand cut.
You need to learn some manners.

Kevin…I’m going to be the way I am. Sorry if you don’t like it. I don’t know what manners has to do with it…

The reason why I put the “I think” in was that I wasn’t there when the shield was put in and I was wrong. It just looks like it was

I don’t mind being corrected if I am wrong. If that’s the way he put the shield in that’s fine…

You are missing my point….and it doesn’t sound like you are ever going to get it

John,

I understand your point.
And now I think we all understand just what kind of man you are.

Fellas, fella's, can't we all just get along?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DmYLrxR0Y8

I guess if I could afford to be a connoisseur of Bose knives I would care more about the shields, but I recently came to the realization that I just can’t afford to buy them on the secondary market anymore.

I don’t know what shields I have on my knives, but they all cut.

But I do have four or five good user Bose knives and I’m taking two of them camping with me today. Shields aside, they’ll do everything I need them to do, but I guess that goes without saying.

Every day that I wake up and put a Reese, Tony or Kerry Hampton knife in my pocket I have the satisfaction of knowing I have the best knife in my neighborhood.

Peace out

I thought the Randall forum was the home to people who threw out their opinions without knowing the facts.
Mr. Nugent,
Probably would have been better to go to the maker & ask prior to posting a flawed opinion.Posting opinions are one thing, posting irresponsibly is another, especially for a moderator.
Tony Bose says it's right, good enough for me.
Tony,Absolutely Beautiful Knife!
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!

I'll take one shield, no shield, yes shield, maybe shield, hallelujah shield, Paris shield, Pamela shield, coco shield, croco shield, freaking shield, Obama shield, dollar shield, peso shield, whatever shield, I'll take one or two or three, I'll take 'em all, thank you.

Oh, and congrats, sir. That's one way awesome knife. When I first saw one I begged Mr. Bose to please make one for me. By the way, tomorrow I'm going after some deer myself, so I'll take mine and post pics. I hope you'll do too. Good luck, and, again, congratulations.

I held this knife for a good while last weekend..It is absolute perfection!! I also know Kevin will be quite happy with it and will put it to good use. As far as the shield goes..WHO CARES!! I like both..round or sharp edges..I would give my left nut for this knife..

Nuge..give me a call..
