This knife is patterned after a 4" "Backpocket" when open. The blade is 52100 (stamped with a new stamp) and etched with ferric chloride. Tang is tapered. The stag is sweet ofcourse!
I made the sheath based on a description that I got over the phone from our buddy J.Culpepper. The idea is you can affix it to your belt or remove it and put it in your pocket. The D-ring on the back lays flat when the belt loop is removed so that it doesn't irritate your bum. Also, just in case the handle gets all bloody from use, the sheath entirely covers it. You can slip the thumb and forefinger on the edges of the handle to pull it from the sheath.
The knife is gorgous!...and the stag?? Well, that is sure hard to beat. I Really love the type of sheath you made. Very functional, and great looking! You know...Folks are now goin gto be callin you for that type of sheath!
