Here is the prototype that Tony worked up for Case for the 2008 collaboration knife. It is patterned from an old Empire Knife Co. saddlehorn lockback but for Case, only in slip joint form. The prototype is 4.5" long with Case bone, ATS-34 blade and springs, all stainless hardware.

Case/Bose Collaborative: Arkansas Hunter (TB’12008)
What happens when a legendary knife maker and a well-known knife manufacturer work together to breathe new life into a vintage knife pattern? The result is a limited edition Case/Tony Bose collaborative. This year, Case and Bose have teamed up to produce a limited edition Arkansas Hunter, with specially shaped stainless steel bolsters that give it a look reminiscent of an old-time “Coffin Jack.” The pattern measures 4-5/8” when closed. The 3-3/8” Clip blade is wire-cut from 154-CM steel and finished with a cut swedge. Pins and bolsters are made from stainless steel, and a milled liner inside the knife handle ensures smooth blade operation. The bomb-shaped shield is pinned-on for added strength. Production will be capped at 1,000 pieces in a variety of premium handle material options. Available late summer.

To honor our relationship with custom maker, Tony Bose, and to celebrate our tremendous collaborations with him, W.R. Case & Sons is offering a limited edition Tony Bose Commemorative. The Sowbelly (TB6339 SS), Saddlehorn (TB62110 SS), and Sway Back Jack (TB62117 SS) are each serialized, with Standard Jigged Dark Molasses Bone handles and Tru-Sharp™ surgical steel blades. The set is housed in a handsome wooden box, and will come with an official Certificate of Authenticity and a Case Collectable Medallion. Production will be limited to 500 sets.

New Pattern - Sway Back Jack (TB’117)
Gentlemen and ladies alike are sure to be impressed with the new Case Sway Back Jack (TB117 SS), a pattern designed in collaboration with award-winning custom knife maker, Tony Bose. The Sway Back Jack blends several rich features into a design that’s as functional as it is elegant. The new Case Sway Back Jack measures 3-1/5” when closed and weighs 2.0 ounces. It features a Wharncliffe master blade and a secondary Pen blade, both made of Tru-Sharp™ surgical steel. The blades are flat ground, tapered, and artfully swedged. The design of the knife’s springs allow the blades to remain flush with the back side when blades are at opened, closed, and half-stop positions. An extended pen spring on the knife’s mark side gives the blade a neatly fitted appearance when closed. Other features include nickel-silver end bolsters a Case oval script shield. The first editions of the Sway Back Jack, in Genuine Stag and Pocket Worn® Bermuda Green Bone, will be shipped to dealers beginning in June.
