I don't know John, A "0" full size saddlehorn. I wouldn't say REAL new. Could be late 90's.. Tony made alot of saddlehorns, right?? It is a nice knife... The price isn't bad either (now anyway - unless Mr. Robuck bids it up. ). Stag is nice, but the seller sure makes it sound like "SUPER STAG" which it is not... None the less, nice knife ....

The “Bose” SaddleHorn Pattern was first made in 1985. It was patterned after two old knives. The frame and clip blade are from an old dismantled 1902 W.R. Case & Son 62100 SaddleHorn (4 5/8" closed) and the potbelly blade was from Napanok SaddleHorn.

This pattern has evolved over the years and I guess with each new changes a No.0 was stamped on one of the blades...with that thought there must be something different about this knife....??? If I could see better pictures I think I could put a year on it (+/- 2 or 3 years).

Bob after thinking about it...I would say you are right about that knife being made in the late 1990’s.

In 2000 a new Federal Shield was introduced. It was patterned off a large Cattaraugus swing guard “King of the Woods” folding hunter. This shield on the eBay knife is an older style and probably not used as much on SaddleHorns after 2000.
