The Anglo Saxon Whittler
"As far as the pressed stag on the Anglo Saxon whittler goes, it's not very attractive, but fairly correct to the original knife on which both Case, Tony, and Reese patterned their knives. Here are a few scans of an original IXL Anglo Saxon Knife from around 1900 or so which exhibits that same tight grained stag that so many English knives from that time period did.
It's about the only place you'll see it other than on that Bose knife you posted. I'm guessing someone across the pond wanted to get one hafted with as original scale material as possible as was available. There certainly isn't any of that stuff around these parts. Maybe the original was a pressed version as well. There are a lot of older English knives with similar "stag " on their sides, just no modern ones." Below is a nice example of old "pressed stag"
