Here we have a 4.5" BP done in a green canvas shadow. Tony used CPM D-2 for the blade and this knife is going to be performance tested on a high tech cutting machine. It's scary sharp!

This knife has the typical half stops and is flush jointed(includes the spring end).

That's as flush a spring end as I've seen.Could you explain"performance tested"? Thanks Tony (and Kerry for the great post)

I'm going to send this to Case to run tests on the CATRA tester they have. That is a computer controlled cutting machine that cuts ASTM controlled paper and prints out the results. There chief engineer gathers infromation on different steels for referance.

OH yea! That is as flush as flush can be. But, the rest of the story is... I showed Tony what I did to flush joint my knife a while back and I think I heard him mumble something about a glove being thrown down or somethin like that. The difference being, with Tony it is totally skill and I was lucky. This is mine pictured below. The truth is if it wasn't for Tony showing me what it was, I wouldn't know a flush joint from a flushed toilet.

Kerry,

How did you get Reese to sit still long enought, to get the picture of this knife by his hair?

Lets see..I'll now get a phonecall from Reese saying.."Kent..about your order"...

Really, just another great looking knife, It will be interesting to hear how the test's go on it!

Here are a couple of photos of a CATRA machine in action that I took at the Spyderco factory in Golden several years ago. (I like that slogan on the chart on the back wall.)
