I've learned one thing in my marriage that I try never to forget. I try to keep my eye set on the "BIG PICTURE".. A knife can be cleaned up. Also, a sak is a sak.. It is an inexpensive production knife which isn't of big value like a Bose knife. It is one of the world's best beaters. Who is to say she wouldn't be respectful of a beautiful Bose knife like fine jewelry. Sometimes things are not just about money anyway. If you get her to appreciate the intangible joy of a Bose knife, it is something that you both can share. That would open up new horizons like getting her interested in knife shows, higher prioritizing of the knife budget, etc.. To me, one knife (that could really be cleaned up if necessary) is a small investment for such a large return.
