Finger grooves, stag handle, nickel silver hilt, butt cap, 7 spacers, Heiser sheath.

The Heiser logo is stamped on the back of the sheath, but the snap buttons placement is similar to that of the JRB.

And it has smooth snap buttons. This may have been added for repair purposes.(?)

The sheath looks correct, except the keeper has been cut, far too short. Brass snaps were used. although not common. Your butt cap appears to be standard, i.e. duralumin, verses nickel silver. Hope this helps,

I was relieved to find out that the sheath was the correct one.

Normally, the snap button on the strap of a Heiser sheath is in the center. But, this is the first time I've seen a Heiser sheath with the strap snap button in this position. Is this unusual?

Had a friend send me some photos of a knife he has, from his dad(there are two, I only have photos of the one) of this model 3 directly from the the shop, WITH Rick Bowls scrimshaw, along with a 085 number from Rick, The original packing paper, FROM the shop shows a date of 1983....It could possibly be part of a set, or, simply just a scrimed knife sold through the shop....anybody seen anything like this??

Rick was the official scrimshander for RMK.
When he completed a scrim, he would send it to the shop to be entered into their records, and then the shop would send it to the buyer.
Whenever I ordered a knife directly from Rick with a scrim, that was the process he followed.
