Eliminating all the great woods and the great micartas, etc. that the Randall shop offers for handle material...Let's concentrate on leather or stag. Which do you prefer? Extra credit for photos.
Let's hear from ya'.
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

I have one knife in leather, none in stag. I have a Model 4-6 Fighter in leather. Stag I would have to see the finished knife before buying one. I did have a Model 27 Mini, but I did not like the stag on it.

Guess I prefer my stags. They outrun my leathers 2-to 1.

I favor stag. Can not really give reasons.

Leather has some benefits, but stag checks a lot more boxes. I've never heard anyone say, "Now that's some killer leather."

In my collection, I have a lot more in stag than leather. Here are two with some "killer stag." smile

GTR pulled (and paid for) from Capt's table at the Nov 2017 Tulsa show.

CCC ordered from the shop, received in March of 2024.
