The Randall stainless 1911s were made on the other coast, surprisingly.

Rick Bowles explained the Randall 1911's to me way back when.
General Randall designed the 1911's as the first all-stainless 1911. He tried to get the Army to buy it for jungle warfare.
When setting up the company to manufacture the 1911, he talked with Bo and asked if Bo objected to him naming his company Randall.
Bo said it was the General's name and he could use it if he wanted. They kept in touch.
Bo came up with the idea of making a joint project of a Randall 1911 and a Randall Model 1. Before they could start the package, Randall Firearms had to close down.
The General did not get the Army contract and was relying on it to continue his company.
