Members,
Just a reminder that The Blade Show is this weekend, Friday-Sunday! I'll be "on the road" in a couple of hours. I will try and get pics taken but I plan on being "swamped"!
I am bringing more RMK's (& BMK's) than ever before, including a double handful from The Captain's "STASH"! Hope you see you there.
The annual RKCC meeting will be held in one of the ballrooms in the hotel. Way-cool door prizes, information from Aaron, regarding all things Randall. Be there or be square!
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

Ronnie Beck and I will be leaving out in the morning with about 50 knives. I'll be across from my friend Gary Clinton at 17-U, table.

Renaissance Atlanta Waverly which is next to the convention center. Wilton Room on the second level towards the left I believe

Looking forward to it.

Blade Update:

I had a really great time. Went to the RKCC Meeting on Saturday morning along with about 60 other Randall enthusiasts. Aaron Johnson who is over the finishing/QC area gave an update on some things pertaining to the shop and the 7 year backlog. Daniel and Dillon were also there answering questions. David White brought a very early 18 crutch tip that is apparently one of the finest in existance. It looked fresh from the shop!

It was great meeting the Capt in person finally and enjoyed chatting about knives and options several times throughout the day at his booth. I ended up ordereing a couple knives, one being a Stanaback Special.

The main show itself was fun - checking out the new models from all the manufacturers but the private sellers/traders area was much more up my alley. Gary Clinton, David Loomis, Buck Buchanan, Duke McCaa and Mitchell Harrison, Andrew Borsage, and others brought some serious heat with both new and vintage Randalls for sale. I was able to handle quite a few models that I have only been able to see in pictures and immediately added to my want list. My first time seeing some choice vintage pieces in person as well.

I didn't take many pics but Im sure others will add some. Overall a great experiance meeting fellow RMK enthusiasts and seeing some first class knives. I encourage all to attend if you are able in the future.
