A recently "newly-joined" forum member has emailed me about the predicament he has (most all of us, probably) regarding acquiring proper glass (plexiglass perhaps) display cases or cabinets to show off his Randall Made Knives.
It has been years since Dale Dorris has been heard from and I fear he has moved on or worse. Dale made great display cases, of that there is no doubt, but what about today and what about various sizes to hold quantities of knives. I am sure we would all love to see some examples and find those craftsmen who built them.
So...How-bout-it! Let's see how our members "show 'em off"!
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

I saw a message a few months ago that Dale Dorris is happily retired and quit making the Randall displays.
Here is a 3-knife display that Tom Clinton had made some time before he passed away. I have owned 2 or 3. He had them made up with slots for 2 knives and 3 knives. The door insert is glass with Randall Made Knives etched. The wood trim on the bottom also has Randall Made Knives in Gold Lettering.
Maybe find one at Blade Show?

David, this is magnificent display!

Capt. Chris, I looked, there's a good selection. Do you mean designs like these?

"Gun Display Case" this phrase works well, even better than "knives," since apparently small displays for folding knives have become fashionable. And I have a suspicion that most of the pictures were made with the help of AI

I don't have my own display yet, but when I do, I'll definitely show it off

Dennis, this is amazing!! Left below the #10 red micarta, is that a black palm?

Incidentally, I just remembered that there are special museum glasses that protect against ultraviolet rays better than regular glass. Ultraviolet rays can discolor valuable items. If anyone is planning to make a similarly beautiful cabinet for themselves, then they can use them. There are several of them on the market, a friend of mine used them to protect old family photos quite successfully in the Tucson sun, unfortunately I don't remember the exact brand he used. I remember that glass should cut off ultraviolet radiation shorter than 380-400 nm (deep violet and other what we cannot see with our eyes)

For actual knife storage.
A number of years ago, my wife said she wanted me to put the knives in a safe.
A nice winter project making some drawers for the safe.
Z, my wife, lined the drawers with felt.
