The catalog description of the Model 14 CDT says it has a 1/2-inch wide tang.

Is there an image of this someplace?

If we order this knife with a leather handle and aluminum butt cap, is the butt cap still screwed onto the tang like knives that have a 1/4-inch tang?

On the website Mitchell Harrison it was, and it seems like it was in one of the old threads too

It looks the same as #1-7 tang, I think they are the same and butt cap is attached the same way

Larry, I don't have a Model 14 like that, but I do have a Model 12/14 with leather handle, and it does have an acorn nut, implying that it is screwed to the tang.

Yes: The 1/2" tang is threaded, prior to the leather washers and butt cap being installed. "ALL" of it is also epoxied.
In the unlikely event the washers should become dry and begin to "check-up", the shop can re-tighten them using the afore-mentioned method.
Hope this helps,
Capt. Chris
