Members,
Although there is a cornucopia of matters that are still in the works, I have renewed my Booth (#12) for this year's Blade Show. Many...many things will be quite different...and not for the better!
At this writing, there will be no RKCC exhibits and the annual meeting will have to be held in the Hotel...which, BTW, is now totally detached from the convention center
I am optimistic that some of the details will get ironed out...but...there'll be "no badges" comped for RKCC club members who normally set up displays...sorry.
When I know more...You'll know more..
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

I am truly disappointed to see this.
The Randall displays have always been a high point of the Blade Show.
It is an opportunity to see very unusual collectibles and learn about the knives and history.
The RKCC meeting on Saturday morning is very important for the Randall community.
Hopefully, the administration of Blade will revisit and restore the encouragement for knife collecting.

the blade show is spiraling down the toilet Dave. The "new' owners couldn't give two shits. Beef jerky, costume jewelry, tactical gear, and firearms are the new norm for the BLADE show.

They should change the name to gun show since they don't give a rat's ass about the knife enthusiast!!!!!!!!

The year they grew into a second room, they should have secured a larger venue.

Of course leases are signed years in advance, but that gives them an opportunity to give all of the tables multi-year advance notice of change of venue.

But that's the view from this monkey's chair. I have no visibility in the relationship between The Blade Show and Cobb Convention Center managers.

Agreed Rob,

I think I'm going to check out this year the Spirit of Steel Show 5/29 through 5/31 at the Knoxville Expo Center.

Put on by Bruce Voyles, one of the founders of the original Blade Show.

Time for a change.
