A plain Model 14 just sold on the bay for $2275.00, after 30 bids. That's much higher than I've seen before. (not old enough to have been in Vietnam.)
Any idea what might have driven the price so high?

I assume it is nescience or ardor. One of my friends paid about $300 for a regular Buck 110 because he didn't want to lose to another player

Or possibly a shill bidder creating a false impression of value.
I would look at the bid history to see what the pattern of bids was.

Does anyone have info about an early RMK, maybe early 40's, that got bid up to $20,000 or more on eBay?

I think it was out of Pennsylvania.

When I went back some time later to check on the final price I could not find it.
