The "ups-n-downs" of it all. Scott now has all his meds and feeding switched to IV's. He won't eat or drink...because:
A) It hurts his throat
B) He's afraid of more use of his "barf bag" (as Gail puts it)
Gail's wording is "We are in the middle of a draw back". Scott has not eaten hardly anything for almost 3 weeks! He has quit drinking because of the vomiting.
Scott does not want visitors as he doesn't want to "speak". Keep hittin' yer' knees folks! The Maynards appreciate it.

PS: Colonoscopy completed...(BUT)...cultures and snip-its taken for fear of "stuff" and Divaticultis in 3 portions of my colon....Worry of the big "C"! More to come in 3 weeks...C

Hope all goes well with Scott. He has the best of care with his fine wife,Gail,tending to him.

I just got back from a three week stay at the hospital.

Prayer's continue for Scott & family...and Captain prayer's for you as well...Stay Strong.

The last 2-3 days info from Gail has been a mixed bag. I'll try an abridged version here. Hope you members get "the idea". One good day....One fair day....One bad day.
Urinary problems continue, despite various "fix-attempts" and is one of the main concerns. Urine in the "drain issues need to be resolved"...(Gail's words).
Because of this continual problem, Scott's stent removal has been postponed. Dr. says "2 weeks" minimum before the stent removal will happen...(not good news).
A "pain-med" plan has (apparently) been worked out. That's good news. Tough on the nurses though as they have to administered every "3 hours"!
Still IV feeding...He did drink more today and had "2 pretzels"!
When I know more...you';; know more.
