Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend tomorrow morning, due to a "double appt." with my ENT Doctor...(which has been postponed once already). I hope everyone has a blast and gets a "goody-r-2"!

Nobody does, except dealers. We were only allowed to "start" orders for them: September, 2024 slots. I just picked up August. Next order you'll see your dealer orders starting to show up.
Hope this helps,
Capt. Chris

Thanks Cap
I remember reading here about a 10-4 going to be available, so I asked when I got through and they had some with different handle materials and they were out of Gamblers

Would you trust your used car to "any" of these guys? FYI: The new #10-4"-DP comes in your choice of:
* Red Micarta
* Black micarta
* Rosewood
* Aluminum
handle choices. Anybody get anything "other" than these? I hope everyone who attended or called in got a treasure....(or 2).
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

I got a couple of what I call "orphan" Model 1's

Maroon Micarta and Ironwood.

Why were they orphans?

Because everybody ahead of me kept passing them over.

Why I don't know.

There were lots of knives, many military models. Fewer every-day and hunting models, although somebody might correct me on the mix.

It was good to see many of the old collectors, but also some newbies and some young folks as well.

Always learn things from the discussions and from the folks at the shop.

Yes Capt. that is my Spalted #10/3" in Rams photo and it's not for sale or trade. It's for camp use. Had a great time meeting with shop sale regulars and first timers. The weather was great and I got to watch a rocket go up Sunday night. I picked up a #14 and a Gambler both with Nice wood handle. Photos when they come in the mail in a few weeks. Thanks to DW and Aaron for their help and hospitality.

The cutting board is made from tobacco sticks.
When farmers harvested Burley tobacco in central Kentucky they would cut the plant off just above the ground and then spear it on to a stick that was about 4 foot long. Then hang it in a barn for about 3 months. After the market fell out there thousands of sticks laying around in barns. Its to nice to use as a cutting board but it makes a very nice backdrop.

Dennis, awesome board! cool
I've never heard of such a thing, we don't grow tobacco here in such quantities, and we usually dry it on a wire or metal rods
