Tony patterned this little beauty after a Shrade Cut. Co. teardrop jack probably made in the early 1920's. This is the first and maybe the only one he will make like this. Subsequent knives of this pattern will be slightly more narrow in the handle and master blade depth.

Blades and springs are ATS-34. 410 SS bolsters/caps/liners. The caps are pinned through and through. Shield is pinned SS and all pins are SS. The punch blade is 2" radius hollow ground and the handle is "eased" for access to it's pull.

This beautiful piece is another example of the exceptional design talents of Bose. That is what makes Loveless so great. A handful of other makers has workmanship on par with these great pieces, but Loveless and Bose are artist. They have the designs that others copy.

What Tony does is expands upon an existing design and makes a better knife. He uses better materials than the original and makes it work better by using a bronze/aluminum bushing on the pivot and milling relief in the liners. Add to that the superior Bose fit and finish and you have a knife that is very difficult to surpass, IMHO.
