Wayne--

From what I have seen on the TV show, they are pretty confident when handling the critters!

I don't know if any of them has been bitten but would not be surprised!

So much of what they deal with is due to people building out into wild country as cities expand. Then people don't "like" having snakes, bears, whatever in their back yards!

I have not seen poisonous snakes in our development which is not on the edge of wild country, but there is plenty of undeveloped land and waterways where they might hang out. I tell neighbors do not kill the black snakes because they help control poisonous snakes, and to call somebody to remove any poisonous snakes if they see them.

The most prolific new species around here are the African rock lizards that I am sure goes after anoles, all insects, bird nests, whatever. People don't think they are harmful...but what they eat is removed from the ecosystem.

Larry,
I agree with you on that.

Now getting back to the main topic of this thread as I have tendency to get to drift off the subject.

Gail Maynard has pretty much given me daily updates on Scott's condition.

Seems that there are several more bumps in the road to be negotiated but their strong faith is helping them along.

Wayne--

I thought you and I "might" be chastised for "drifting."

My heart goes out to Scott, Gail, and the kids, not to mention the larger RMK family at the shop and afield.

These things are tough on everybody, and I suspect that Scott would wish that others not hurt for him.

Larry,
I agree with you on that for sure.

Gail is my "adopted daughter" nothing official but in 2016 when my daughter passed,Gail stepped up to the plate to be my daughter.

I have known the Maynards and the RMK family for many years.

Update: Gail's message is fairly good. Scott has has another vomiting issue and a tube was placed down his nose. Although uncomfortable, it is helping...with whatever they are doing. He has been awake, walking the hallway with the nurse and sitting in a chair as I write this.
Best,
Capt. Chris
