Both of you were lucky.

Not to "pick on the breed," but anyone interested can find info about them.

I suspect that the .22 might not have stopped a determined attack by one...unless it was a lucky shot.

Other breeds are also dangerous when they attack. Owners are torn when the animals they love go violent. And sometimes they or family members are the victims.

Sometimes, owners are the problem....
