You are right htere,dog bites are more common than wild animal attacks.

Years ago,after I would pump iron,I would run a mile.

This one morning,as I was jogging down the road,I heard the ominous sounds of dog nails on the pavement and turned around to see a large Pit Bull coming down the road after me.

I faced the dof and it stopped. I walked backwards towards my house still facing the dog but it was making false chafrges at me.

As I got to the house,I was worried when I turned my back to open the front door that it would close the distance and bite me.

I pulled out my North American Arms 22 mini revolver from my waist nad holster just as the dog was starting to close in. I fired one round into the ground away from the dog.

The dog stopped mid charge and ran away. I never saw that dog again.
