I'm working on an "in-depth" story, regarding the RMK Model #22-4 5/8", OUTDOORSMAN. I have a "quite rare" offering, as early as they come..."&"...in museum-quality condition!
Happy "MICARTA MONDAY" members...& here's quick pic///fresh outta' The Captain's camera of the knife, in question fresh outta' The Captain's "STASH"!
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris

Capt. Chris--

I "had" an early Model 22 with pinned butt cap and "D" sheath.

Sent it to Pete to authenticate...and he replied to me it was "an early Model 22."

That did not lead me to think it was anything special, so at some point I sold it.

Well after he was gone and I had sold the knife, I noticed that Pete had written it up in his Blade column, and he made it sound more special than I had thought when I heard from him.

Needless to say, whenever I tried to buy it back, the new owner would never let it go....

Sometimes, the hardest kicks in the rear are the ones we give ourselves.

Larry
