Became a member of this on-line group, still the only non-professional, on-line group I interact with, several months after meeting and then hanging out many times with Rhett and Janie in their Meadows of Dan store and other places. Because I liked knives in general, Randalls in particular and then, the people I was meeting who had similar interests….Interacted by phone, internet and way too few eye-to-eye interactions with many folks, like D.W., Capt. Chris, some Randalls and shop folks, Perry Miller, Jim Behring, James, Tony, Pap, & several others; always around knives, hunting, veterans and supporting them, camping, fishing and life. ALWAYS pleasant, polite and NEVER derogatory,calling names & negative and NEVER about politics.
The positives I’ve enjoyed here so outweigh the negatives BUT the only reasons I’ve ever thought of not opening this site again have always been because of over the top, unnecessary rudeness and this behavior increasingly almost always about Trump era political rudeness. I try to NOT participate in this BUT sometimes have let myself jump in anyway.
I agree with Tony and Pappy’s words above, feel certain we don’t march in step always politically, but danged if I don’t respect each of them and their words. I plan today to NOT participate in any of the negative, political claptrap on here, even if it is under this “Bad, Ugly…..”, and not even if under another thread and several pages of the wacky, crazy comments that……..ooppps, ‘bout messed up.
