This is the best I could muster up as far as show pictures. Ironic huh, since I am getting a rep for posting knife shots. I was so busy with taking it all in that I forgot I had a camera most of the time.

Folks milling around the table and filling out cards for the drawing. Tony is standing there on the corner, my wife Danna is seated next to him and across the table from Tony is Elliot(blues).

a shot showing the card stacks next to knives on Tony's half of the table

Here you can see all the Bose knives and their growing stacks of cards

Reese and RandyW lookin over the situation.

Randy cheesin over his Bose Knives in a Box(I should come up with a waiver for that too

This shot is just minutes away from the drawing time. The crowd got so thick that it did get hotter like was mentioned in another thread. It is amazing how much attention these drawings get. Notice how high the card stacks got next to each knife(lower right corner) Maker John Frap was in the isle across from the Bose table and said that the stacks were double the height of last years.

During the drawings, they take a stack of cards and throw them in a box and someone from the crowd pulls a card. Here Tony is reading the name but eventually a town cryer was employed due to the sound suck in that room.

She looks like she was making a wish as she is handed that card to Tony, "oh please be mine please be mine please be mine." Her wish wasn't granted but someone else was made very happy.

Yep, that's me in the brick colored shirt in the first couple shots, and Joe (canineforge) is standing over my right shoulder (the tall fella in the floral shirt and glasses). Joe had himself a great show as well in terms of what he was able to come away with.

Gus Kalanzis is in the foreground with blue shirt and back to camera in the first pic.

The gal reaching into the box in the last shot is Julie Hyman from Arizona Custom Knives.

Best place to hang out at Blade. Perfect meeting place or recovery site after all the shock of the rest of the show. Sorry I missed it this year.

Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for the pictures Kerry. It was alot of fun to see all the folks who so much wanted one or more of Tony's knives. and of Reese's knives, and the excitement the lucky collectors showed when their name was drawn.

Blues, enjoyed the time spent at Blade. I was in a daze most of the day Friday (including in that picture, it seems!) but, sure enjoyed every minute of it. I heard the Bose drawing was going to draw more attention this year, and it sounds like it did. (I was not even aware of the drawing at my first Blade Show last year). Now, what was it you said you would take in trade for Reese's black whittler???
