We have 220 kids in High School at the place I worked this year. 7 did stretches of between a week and a month in the Smith County Jail or a Juvenile lockup. One (17) is still being held on $1,000,000 bond for planning to shoot up the school.

Several have been in gang shootouts like you described in Tyler this year.

Jail doesn’t scare them. They come back bragging about it.
