The blade is 52100, spring is A2, Beautiful brown bone and jigged by Reese. He cleaned it up a bit before he let me have it. I was going to use it as my carry but after he polished everything up I cant bring myself to do it..Maybe after a week or two in the case..
Another Bose from the show..I learned a few things watching Coop and will be changing my way of taking pictures soon..so for now this will have to do..
I think early on there were some Saddle's made in this Killer Red bone. I have heard it's a different red than you get today, I have never seen one...and there was some God awful Green puke colored bone Saddles made to. I did see one of those, but never pursued that one….really ugly...but I may dig deep for an old red bone one.
You are more likely to find one (them) than me...so please keep me in mind
So..if you or anyone else comes across a "God aweful ugly puke green" saddlehorn, just let me know and I will take that rotten thing off of your hands!
Love that deep red bone!! Not too many makers dye bone themselves...According to Terry Davis its a lost art that the old timers took with them...Im like Kent I also like that puke green!!!
