This is the second Platts toenail Tony made...about 15 years ago. It is hafted in stunning MOP, has ATS-34 blades and springs, and the typical Bose fit and finish.

You noticed huh..:) The pearl alone is probably worth $300 or more, it has so much figure and fire in it. It is an amazing piece.

Kerry,

You weren't nervous about dropping it, were you?

Over the past year you've gotten to handle more Bose knives than most of us will in our lifetimes, which ONE have you liked the most? I bet this toenail is right up there.

That's a hard question to answer and to be honest, I have not even thought about it. But now you're making me think about it and there are 2 that stand out in my mind. Of Tony's my pick is the 2 blade swayback jack just like the one that He donated to the Nat. Knife Museum. Of Reese's recent ones I have to go with the Rogers Whittler with buffalo horn handles. I would lean harder towards that whittler pattern though.

Thanks Kerry.

Picking out of all those knives is a nice dilemma to have. It’s interesting to me that the swayback is one of the top knives for you because it strikes me as one of the ones that would be most useful, but that Reese knife ain't no slouch either.

I don’t know if I could pick just two if they were all sitting on a table in front of me. I would probably just keep going up and down the table looking at them until someone wiped off the drool, put them away and turned off the lights.

OK, I just looked at some of them again, and I would have to say the Diamond Edge Cattle knife has to be near the top.

That's too weird because that one would be my 3rd choice, only because it would be a bit heavier than I would carry. BuuuuuT I SUPPOSE if someone made me carry it Iiiiiii woulllllld.

I think you just proved my point about how cool it is that you get to check out all of these knives while I have to take your word that it might be a little heavy.

We'll chip in on the suspenders if it means Tony and Reese don't have to see your plumber's butt when you carry that knife, although that look is kind of hip with the younger generation.

I need to add a qualifyer that while the Diamond Edge isn't heavy by itself, I would be adding it to the other knives I carry now and that would definitely require suspenders.

Oh..and one other thing. The reason that look is hip with the younger generation is because they have younger butts.
