Well,You all know I was able to obtain a Tony Bose knife recently, there's a picture of my stag Lanny's Clip in the gallery here.
I also ,recently, put in an order with Reese, for a #6 Wharncliffe trapper, with brown jig bone, and 440v blade steel.Reese told me,time has a way of going by quick.I can patiently wait the three years out,it'll be worth it.Heck of a nice guy to talk with,as well, that Reese.
And,he makes a really perfect knife as well.On St. Pat's weekend,I was fortunate to obtain a Reese Bose Shadow,D-2 clip pt,a little guy,3" closed. The fit and finish is ,well,Bose Quality, but the walk and talk on this one,Wow!
As I checked this little knife out,all I could think about,is,how my Grandfather would have loved this knife. He always carried a Buck Lancer,a tiny knife, through the years I was fortunate enough to spend my boyhood summers with him.I'd shoot rabbits and squirrels, and this is when I was taught to field dress game.He used that little Lancer ,all the time, for this.I know,if he ever saw that little Reese Bose shadow,he'd a given me that Buck Lancer in a swap. Those were good days.
I'm glad to be able to own Tony and Reese Bose knives, and I'm looking forward to at least one more, maybe 2,if I'm real lucky.
