I'll add 2 to my short list of those with whom I've had dealings here. Warren Polidori donated knife handle material to me, a stranger to him, without remuneration, and I purchased a knife from Swimmer that was exactly as described.

I have to agree that Swimmer is first rate.

I'm feeling warm and fuzzy this morning, so I'm giving a shout out to Holzinger258! Steve has been more than helpful and generous to me. Thanks Steve!

Just for the record, I should have said in my earlier post that I have never had any bad experiences buying from any of the folks on this forum. If someone was not on my list, it only meant that I have not (yet) bought a knife from them. Great bunch of folks here and I really appreciate all of them.

My favorite is Mitchell Harrison (kind, precise and quick), but I had very friendly relationships (and good deals!) with Miles Welze, Bruce Buckner, Jon Peterson, Burnie Austin, David Bender, Bill Claussen, Sidney Schmidt, Bill Severance, Jim Sullivan, Jim Lyons, Wally Mabry, Pat Remele.
