Boy.. Look at those prices and there is still almost 6 days left... I bet that JWPABLO is loving it !!!!

The little one looks to be an older piece.. Anyone else concur? "5" .... In that model must have been made a long time ago...

I agree John Bidders should always leave a little room at auction close to make the move...with activity like this they'll be priced out pretty early
What will be interseting is to see wether a few more pieces show on evilbay in light of such strong auctions..

I was thinking the same about others soon to show up on ebay. When I was selling a lot on ebay I noticed that once I put a rare item on, and it went well, that others soon came out of the closet

Yep...bring the popcorn and a soda. Should be interesting.

Although, it could go either way. I sold a dandy Penn RR piece on Ebay starting at $550 and was shocked when it went for over 3k. Put it up for 10 days and the bidding was over by day 7.

Its over and all I can say is WOW. Tony would be shocked and amazed to hear the price those went for.

Lets see what else pops up now on ebay and wait to you see what the dealers start charging. Going to be sick. JT

This kind of activity does nothing but make Bose knives more valuable. Amazing final price!

And harder to buy on the secondary market unless you have tons of cash to throw around. Not sure which way I like better.

Even with a nice little collection in the drawer price spikes always make me melancholy. The knives become harder to come by for some of us and it gets harder to turn them into users — and these are meant to be used IMO. The same thing happened — for me — with Horn, Fisk, Onion. All great users until the prices make you wince. Just my .02.

Made short work of a box with my Napanoch WT this morning....

Oh yea...for sure the spiking prices only make you feel good when you already own them.

Don't dispair if you are an active collector you have undoubtadly noted the popularity and secondary prices soar
of Bose knives over the year especially

I dont think Ebay is the most accurate indicator

Savvy collectors know what a piece should bring and always leave a little room if they need to bail on an aquistion
Ebay remains a game of sorts not unlike online poker..and now that bidders identities are hidden far easier to spike bids and yield higher prices/comissions.
The relative rarity of Bose knives on ebay combined with the hot market generated that high end bid..

Yes collections just got more valuale, yes it may make some of us think twice before cutting..and the initial fallout will be some crazy asking prices but they will settle down some..I frickin hope

The case of Fisk is a bit different Jerry is now charging the prices his pieces command on the secondary market..

And Jess isnt making hardly anything

what I hope happens is that this auction draws out a few more sellers

Enjoy that Napanoch WT and in suit I'll drop my Ivory BP
in my pocket and hope I run into a rare steak that needs eating
This passion is about Pleasure People and the incredible Talent of Tony and Resse
