Here is one of the few Boses I received directly from the maker. A Reese Stockman in Ivory. Instead of the coping behind the main clip blade, I had Reese do a nice little wharncliff. That way when closed all you see is the main blade. You don't get that hump of the coping blade sticking up behind the main clip blade like on other stockmans. Makes for a nice compact profile when closed. Oh and on the end he did a nice pen blade. Thanks...JT

JT that is as classy as it is functional, nothing beats that feeling that a maker made the knife especially for you.
Reese has been carrying an Ivory warny trapper for years..says the oils from his hands keep the ivory nice and stable and Ivory develops such a cool patina over time..the little battle scars are testament to a life well lived!
Thanks for Sharing
we need to see that knife with the Blades opened!

That is one of the best looking Stockman I have seen. Has always been one of my favorite EDCs. Thanks for posting.

OK...here is a quick one open. You can just see the swedging he did on each blade and it is perfect. Reese nailed it pretty good on this one. Thanks again for all the compliments. JT

Okay now dangit! In the discussion forum a couple of days ago Troy was calling a Saddlehorn a Trapper and now this is a Stockman. (Nice knife btw ) I thought Stockmans had slanted bolsters for one and USUALLY a typical handle profile and blades. I can see the profile BARELY. Ya'll are making it kinda tuff for a feller to get a little bit of what's goin on in the knife world, knowwhutImean? The minute I think I am learning something SOMEBODY goes and does something like this. Hear that ripping sound? That is the fabric of my knife universe being torn to shreds.

You need a knife pattern Chart
Thats a Stockman....slant bolster really dont change the pattern..do they?
A Sowbelly is a stockman too...unless it has two blades at the same end and then it either a Sowbelly Trapper or a Sowbelly Jack...Then there are whittlers, but with two blades opposite of each other then its a Half Whittler...and I could go on and on...Trappers...half Trappers...You want a chart?

I bet you COULD go on and on. There is much to learn, that's for sure.

I have charts in my collectors books I probably should study more.

I was joking more than being serious, but it can be quite confusing at times when you think you are learning a little then I realize I don't know much about knives at all.
