It seems the only Bose knives I see with Micarta handles are nice smaller single-blade pocketknives. Are there any out there with 2 blades? Also, do any have shields inlaid into the handles?

I'm thinking that would be my dream knife, a nice 2-blade jack knife but with a shield set into the Micarta.

Thanks,
-Troy

Hey Troy,
Great question. Here is a picture of some older Micarta knives that they have made.

The large one is a “Back Pocket Knife” with a drop point blade, its a single blade R-1123 Bullet without all the goodies. The smaller one is a “Wharncliffe Trapper”. I have only seen a few Micarta knives with Bolsters. I can’t say I have ever seen one with a shield…not saying they don’t exist.

IMHO: For the kinda of money and wait for a Bose knife I personally would have to go with a natural handle material like Bone, Stag, Ivory or even Ebony. Don’t get me wrong micarta is great stuff…just my two cents.

This one has been in my Pocket since she came home
4 1/4" closed, Denim Fibermascus and D2
The lanyard is Long Gone replaced with some leather
whats sweet is the handle has taken on a polished patina from pocket wear..the indigo color and fade of natural denim are much more pronounced..

Like Most I love the natural materials but even the man made ones take on a "life" when enjoyed and carried

It is indeed! Thanks for the compliment
J.H was kind enough to fix me up at the ECCKS...I have to take a picture now as the handle has an amazing patina developing from pocketwear and oils from handling..
R.Bose and this denim fibermascus is the Shiz!
