I went away a couple days and came back to a lot to read and learn. Seems like either use the option for spacers and then match a material in a standard or commando shape, or choose non option spacers and have the option to choose a material and shape.

After a lot of looking at photos on various sites, I think I like the Vader concept with a single finger grip. I think all black spacers are no option, so last two with Black Micarta and SFG handle.

All credit to the good Captain for his fantastic record of previously sold knives with amazing photos. This is a Combat Companion, but shows the idea pretty well, no options left for a thong of course.

Agree. Let's use the options for handle material and shape (or FG or whatever) and pick a no option spacer arrangement. Disclaimer -- This is not a vote, just an expression of preference. Definitely not a vote. Don't even think about considering this to be a vote because it's not one. Not a vote.

We do need to maybe, move on to the next step though. Which I reckon would be voting on handle material. I think most are gonna be good with using non option wasting spacer arrangements. Though we probably need to vote that 2!

Stikman donated a sheath (musk ox) for a build I won. Maybe if we want a fancy sheath he'd build one special for the knife, but this time we pay him for it.

OK: It's time....How about a "ROLL CALL VOTE"...Vote for one of the below-listed spacers options.
A) Red, white & blue
B) All black
C) All red
D) Aluminum & black
E) Aluminum & red
Damned if you do: damned if you don't on some votes. Voting for a certain "color" spacer may predicate what type (color) of handle material we go with. On the other hand, voting for a handle material 1st will create the same scenario, with regards to spacers.
We have started at the front and worked our way back, thus far: Let's continue. I don't care what wins..."BUT"...red,white & blue allows the most handle choices, due to it's varying colors. All black works well also. All red? A little more personal tastes will come into play. The metal spacers will dress the knife up but limit handle shaping to a standard or commando shaped handle. Not that these are bad choice, indeed very good choices..."but"...limited, just the same.
Please vote for one now.
Thanks, Capt. Chris
