Would the shop possibly be willing to make an exception to the 5 option limit for a club build knife? It definitely would add some "pop" to these builds with the winner getting something really special. I realize the shop is super busy but maybe they could put an annual limit on the number of knives they would allow under this exception so it's not too much of a burden. They could also put a special stamp on the blade (maybe "RKCC" or just a "C" for club)for identification purposes. The last club build was the pine cone fiasco of 2015... and that was held to 5 options.
