I don't think the first one is a Styers, but a Doler. Totally different blade grind. Plus the hilt is not shaped and refined like on the Styers. The Styers name is more well known and anything with an "S" guard seems to be called a Styers. IIRC the Doler had a 6" or 6 1/2" blade.
