Single, Squared. To me the NS vs Brass is about the handle material. Since we don't know that I say brass and save an option for later.

Wally that wood turned out amazing. I remember thinking that I would have really liked to win the chance to buy that knife.

We'll call this sometime this evening. Although some have said that deciding the hilt before the handle material is backwards, it should be noted that:
* We have tried doing it the other way.
* Choosing handle material 1st turns out to be hard also, not knowing what color the metal is going to be.
No matter what, there are flaws in the system...But God knows you don't want to try to decide on "too many" things at once! That, my good crew, spells disaster sometimes.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: Just for giggles: #5-6, sawteeth and a NS single hilt (squared)...Musk Ox...CCS

Man, that Musk Ox looks good, Is it very fragile? How does it work for a functional handle material and how does it stand the test of time? Any issues with cracking, shrinking, or discoloration ect? I'm gettin' the cart before the horse, but would you happen to have any available for this build if the vote would go that way?

I have had problems with musk ox in the past. Not, so much, cracking as shrinking. This was due to improper stabilization and using the musk ox too soon after receipt. It needs to cure, dry out and then, after one year (or better, be sent for stabilization! I have never "used" it so am not qualified to say as to how it would hold up.
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
PS: None available, at this time, for any "builds"...CCS

Do bulls have to be very strong horns, especially stabilized.

Ok fella's....

I just got off the phone and Capt. is on THE road, as usual. He asked me to do a quick head count so we can move forward. So here it is...

Single Hilt got the most votes/mentions at 16. With most of them being for a squared top. That's gonna look really great!!

So next we would need to hash out brass and save the option for handle material or shape or something else.

Or go Nickel Silver. Either 1 will be awesome.

The Captain will set this up later today so we can get moving in that direction.

Desert Snake... thanks for posting that video, I loved it, and it should pretty much clear up any questions about the durability of musk ox going forward LOL... the cost of it though, that's a whole different story.

Thank you all for your participation so far. cool
