I took close-up photos of the scrimshander's mark with me to Blade and asked a number of artists about it. No one recognized the mark so I still don't know who did the work. One man made the suggestion to look for the information on Facebook. He said there are at least a couple groups of scrimshanders who post regularly there and someone in those groups should know. I am not a proficient Facebook user and really haven't had the time to work with it much so I haven't followed up on that.
