Sawteeth will make a "flesh wound" a bit more challenging to stitch up cry

Agreed Wally but not to be confused with a wood saw.

I'm late to the party on this option, but I vote no sawteeth.

I would be interested if there was ever a known use of the saw teeth being used to cut out of a chopper or plane. I believe a Randall plus adrenaline would get it done, but have never seen a real life example. As far as using saw teeth on bone, it wouldn't take much of a cut to then break the bone. Wood is a different story. If you did a small cut on top and then on the bottom of a branch or small sapling, you could break it off.

Good morning all.

Following is the current vote count on the "Sawteeth" vs. "ST/NST grind" proposition.

We had three gentlemen who commented on the perceived utility (or lack thereof) of sawteeth, but who did not expressly cast a vote (see further notes below). I considered these as "dangling chads" and did NOT count them in the vote totals.

A.) 13
-NOTE: 2/13 voters specifically requested small teeth.
-NOTE: JerryG and Tom Vought both posted comments in support of the utility of sawteeth, but did not expressly cast a vote for sawteeth (their comments were not counted as votes).

B.) 6
-NOTE: Warren P. posted comments against the utility of sawteeth and in support of the utility of a ST/NST gring, but did not expressly cast a vote for ST/NST (his comments were not counted as a vote).

This total is current as of pappy19's 12:07 a.m. comment.

If the three gentlemen who posted comments wish those comments to be counted as votes, please so state, and the vote totals will be updated.

As for saw teeth on wood.......it's a knife not a ax or a saw!
Using the blade side to cut the straps on some one strapped into a chopper vs. the saw teeth side is possibly more the intent.
Blade side will probably dull the blade faster where as the saw teeth will still be the saw teeth, just a thought.

As I' m not planning to cut my way out of a downed plane anytime soon, I vote " no sawteeth".
