Updated vote totals (only counted those votes which were cast since the Capt. called for a vote; Burnie's 10:39 p.m. vote was the last counted here):

25 votes cast.

A.) Stainless: 14
NOTES:
-5 participants expressly voted NO for stainless as they specifically requested a carbon steel blade.
-Since the other 6 voters did not vote for stainless, I assume that means they'd prefer a carbon steel blade. If this assumption (I know, assuming almost always gets me in trouble) is correct, the vote then currently stands at 14-11 in favor of stainless.

B.) Sawteeth/NST Grind: 23
NOTES:
-16 voters specified teeth.
-4 voters specified NST;
-3 voters said yes to "B" without specifying a preference (this was 4 voters earlier today; 1 of the 4 earlier "B" voters since clarified his vote in favor of teeth).

C.) Traditional Model #5 blade profile: 2

I note that there are a few newbies voting for sawteeth. I think that it is very important that you realize that the sawteeth on RMKs do not have an offset. They are not intended for cutting wood and making clean cuts. Without the offset, the sawteeth can bind on deeper cuts and will make a gosh-awful mess. Other than as an emergency ripping tool, it is my personal opinion that sawteeth serve no purpose on an outdoor knife. Of course, opinions vary.....

I feel the same way about Stainless Steel. At least teeth add to the look. Stainless steel adds nada. Eric

If you lived in a location that had more than three humid days a year, you might revise that thought. Stainless is more than a pretty "S" on the side of the blade.

Gary, I positively agree with you. But Stainless Steel is a wasted option where I live. So to me it offers nothing. I have a lot of Stainless Steel Randall's. I just like saving options so I can get the options I really like. Double Hilts, non leather washer handles and WT. It is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle then it is to get a Build on this Forum with a Carbon Blade. I can live with that. Eric.

Thanks to my "tallyers" for saving me the need to do so. Here's what we have so far: We are building a Randall Model #5-6" with:
* A stainless steel blade
* A non-traditional grind, i.e. ST or NST
For you advocates of carbon, I hear ya'...but the vote was clearly sided towards a stainless blade so it gets the nod...this time. I am working on an RKCA build, with proceeds going to the S.C. Military Museum. I have already ordered a prototype for this knife...and it "is" carbon! (More on that later)
Now: Before we travel any farther down the road: "FINAL ROLL CALL VOTE" for your favorite blade shape choice! VOTE FOR 1:
A) Sawteeth
B) Sawteeth/No sawteeth grind
Thanks, Capt. Chris
PS: Below is a single hilt #1 with the teeth and an 8" Model #1 with the NST grind, just to give you some type of visual. Apologies for the photos as I have been working without a tent the past 6 weeks!...CCS
