Kinda torn on this one. While I LOVE the 14 grind model 12. Another RKCC member and I were just discussing Saturday night how we live the model 5 and how we'd like one to be optioned. Then low and behold I find this post today. So, in light of Saturday's discussion, I say we build a way cool model 5.

Thank you Wally.

Draggin my rear as we drove for 12 hours today. Too lazy to look at previous threads.

The top one is a 5-5 dressed as a fighter.
The last one is a 5-6, but has a single hilt. This is the knife Billy was talking about.
Both have ST as you can see.

The model 5 is my favorite knife so it may seem odd that I am voting for a 12-9/14. I just don't understand the logic of taking a knife that is made for field work and using valuable options to turn it into a fighter. There are already fighter models that will save you both options and $$ if you chose them. It all reminds me of the rich Texans back in the 80's that used to convert their Cadillacs and Lincolns into El-Camino style pick-ups. Sure, you have something unusual. But it is just a copy of something that can be purchased for a whole lot less.

Just my $.02 (and probably only worth half that.)

Raindog, I'm afraid you actually may have made their point for them. That Caddy is way cooler than an El Camino. I expect it drives much better too. ;-)

I'm with you Gary If the 5 has FCH I would be ok with it as a fighter if not I would rather see it stay a single & save the option.
But a FCH just eats up the options!

I used to see cars like that filled with flowers going down the road for some funeral or another growing up in NY. I always thought they were Caddy Flower cars not Luxury El-Caminos.
