I like BP's proposed Model 5 fighter design. I like the all black spacers proposed by Chief.

Sorry, but as a newbie, I've got to ask two questions:

A.) FCH?

B.) Isn't the proposed design over the 5 option limit?

1. Stainless steel blade.
2. Sawteeth.
3. N/S hilt.
4. Double hilt.
5. Ivorite handle.
6. Thong hole.
7. Black sheath (or does the black sheath option not count as a "knife" option?)

N/S 2 is considered 1 option as the knife will have the hilt regardless of nickel or brass. The only thing changing is the double hilt part, so it's wrapped up as 1 option .
And yep... the sheath is a totally different scenario.

FCH = Forward curved hilt... which actually would be pretty bad a$$ on a #5... I would think.

I agree that an FCH would be wicked cool on the proposed knife. Thanks for the information on the hilt abbreviation and options.

Does the substitution of a FCH for thong hole results in 5 total options (SS, sawteeth, N/S double hilt, FCH, Ivorite handle) plus a black sheath?

Or does a forward curving double N/S hilt wrap into one option, leaving us at a total of 4 options as proposed?

If only four, we could look at a commemorative "HSB" plaque inset in handle for the fifth. Is that do-able with Ivorite? Or maybe a commemorative blade etch? Or maybe return to the thong hole for the 5th option?

Yes: On a #12-6", Little Bear. NS2 is one and FCH is a second. Big Bowies, not so much, as lugged or FCH are standard.
Best, Capt. Chris

I like the 5-6 with sawteeth, FCH, SS, stag handle or the 12-9 14 grind sounds good also with stag, SS,FCH and NS butt plate.

Yeah me too, looks great and doesn't use an option. I have several with black spacers on stag. Very cool.
