A model 1, or model 2 IMHO, is every bit as patriotic as a bowie, if you want to build a fighter. Just sayin. I'm still good with any of 'em.

1's and 2's are awesome.... so are bowie's.... Just that unconventional fighters usually work out to be really cool as well.

No matter what we will build a cool knife as we always do.

1's have the most options.....ya just can't use more than 5!
Bowie's have a lot of non-chargeable options that don't eat up your 5.
Hilt shape & blade grind on a 12-9 don't eat up your options!
If you could have a #1 with, SS, sawteeth no sawteeth, NS forward curved hilt, all blk spacers, customer supplied handle material, border patrol handle, NS butt cap I'd have a bunch of them!!!

If a fighter is in our future, I'm feeling a Model 12-9" Bowie with 14 grind, #25 handle, SS, N/S hilt with a wrist thong.

A knife that could conquer the west while looking awesome doing it.

Happy Independence Day!

Bowie for me. I prefer a Confederate Bowie but I will throw my weight behind the 12-9/14.

I don't feel that any model of knife is any more patriotic than another but Bowies are a piece of Americana.

A Bowie would surely do it for me, especially the 6" Sportsman's bowie

Dad always said "go big or go home", instead of the little bear, I'm still after the Big Bear. A 12-8 vote here.

I'm with Wally on the model 1, got to be a 7". A #5 would be cool too, with sawteeth even cooler. Sorry, the bowies just don't do it for me. I'm a user as well and the usefulness of a bowie just ain't there, at least not for me.

Red/blue micarta on a #1, or maybe a #5, would be as patriotic as a bowie in my opinion.

I agree the Model 5 with teeth would be a super cool build.

don't like the big blade's, to heavy, 5" or 6" is best for a hunter or camp knife. In my opinion.

the Stanaback special is also a cool knife and very useable, and like the Model 5 will do everything a hunter will need.
