At least with the model 18, you can remove the compass so it may be laid on a map and oriented. This may get a lot of grief, but I am of the opinion that a compass would be the least used option possible. _________________________ Wally

SAWTEETH was voted for, just not mentioned in Capts. Briefing on the prior page. So thats 4 options used.. #1 Stainless #2 SAWTEETH #3 Nickel Silver Hilt (square) #4 Thuya.... We would have to take standard handle shape if we are to get anything else. So why not at least have the cool look of a compass in the handle??? It certainly wont need a wrist thong going to and from said safe... actually that could get caught on something else.
