Recently, I bought a few knives Microtech.

Here is one of them - Socom.
This model was created, as the name implies,
for guys from special forces.
I do not know whether this is true or marketing ploy.
But there are many photos of Randall during the fighting,
a lot of documented fixed information.
About Microtech I read only advertising on the Internet
and no real photos or army owners reviews.

In principle, it does not matter.
I just like the external appearance of the knife,
it fits comfortably in the hand and has a good steel.
In my opinion a very good opener for urban dweller
or as an auxiliary knife in the glove
compartment of the machine smile

I am interested in the opinion of members of this wonderful
forum about these knives and experience with them.

I've heard good things about Microtech knives. the only thing I see on that knife that I don't care for is the pocket clip puts the knife in a tip down position. I prefer tip up carry. Tip down carry makes it so one has to turn the knife over in the hand before opening. Nice example nevertheless.

Pat,

I pulled out 2 Benchmade and 1 CRKT out of the drawer this morning. Both Benchmade knives were different clip orientation.
The CRKT is tip down. So now there's consistency for you.

Microtech OTF's are the best....... IMO.

One of my EDC's.

Tune, Looks like you have your "Boy Scout" thing going on, there. "Be Prepared". That set looks like it fills the bill, for sure.

Yeah, Warren, I've even seen some folders that had a clip that could be put on either end. I'm a Sebenza freak and they fill the bill for me.

I retired my Benchmade and now carry a Chris Reeve large Sebenza. On both knives, you could change the clip location to fit your desires. The Sebenza is heavier than the Benchmade, but way more classy.

Hey Mitchell,
Is the pen a concealed flash bang?
That is a great pocket full of tools.
